Former Oregon prep standout Dallin Leavitt promoted to Raiders active roster

When the Las Vegas Raiders take on the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, a familiar face will be on the active roster.

Former Central Catholic High School star Dallin Leavitt will be available in Week 4 after he was promoted from the practice squad to the active roster on Friday.

Leavitt’s promotion came after the Raiders placed rookie cornerback and 2020 first-round pick Damon Arnett on Injured Reserve following thumb surgery. Arnett is expected to miss 6-8 weeks. The 26-year-old safety also spent Week 1 on the Raiders active roster before he was waived on Sept. 15 and re-signed to the team’s practice squad.

Leavitt first signed with the Raiders in 2018 as an undrafted free agent out of Utah State. He’s appeared in 17 games total, including a career-high 15 games in 2019. He has 11 career tackles and six solo tackles.

For those who want to cheer on the Portland native and former 6A co-Defensive Player of the Year, the Raiders (2-1) will take on the Bills at 1:25 p.m. PT on Sunday, October 4 on CBS.
