Central Catholic breezed to the finals by defeating Mount Hood Conference rival Barlow 35-7 in the semi-finals. On the season, Central Catholic only lost one game to a team from Oregon, and that was to powerhouse Jesuit.
Speaking of Jesuit, that was the team Lake Oswego upset to advance to the championship. In fact, it was a forced fumble heard around the nation that helped seal the deal -

On Friday, Lake Oswego running back Casey Filkins was named Oregon's Gatorade High School Athlete of the Year.
