Andre Iguodala fined for throwing ball into stands
Andre Iguodala is not on Blazers fans’ good side right now.
The Golden State Warriors guard-forward was fined $25,000 on Monday for heaving the game ball into the stands during the Warriors 115-105 victory over the Blazers.
Iguodala received a technical foul and was ejected from the game at halftime for the “hostile act.”
Is DeAndre Ayton living up to the hype?
The Phoenix Suns may not be the best team in the Western Conference, or even close for that matter, but their future is bright with the addition of No. 1 pick DeAndre Ayton.
According to Bleacher Report, Ayton is one of seven rookies this season who have exceeded lofty expectations.
The former Arizona Wildcat is on pace to join Shaquille O’Neal and Buck Williams as the only rookies to average at least 15 points and 10 rebounds and shoot over 55 percent.
Ayton is averaging 21.9 points and 14.4 rebounds through the Phoenix Suns last seven games. They Suns have won five games since December 13.
Patrick McCaw won’t return to Warriors
Patrick McCaw’s time in a Warriors uniform has come to a close.
The guard-forward, who chose not to re-sign with Golden State last season, will now join the Cleveland Cavaliers, who offered him a two-year, $6 million offer sheet.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Warriors failed to match the Cavs offer for McCaw, despite the fact he has been a regular part of the Warriors rotation over the last two years.
During his two seasons with Golden State, McCaw played in 128 regular season games with 30 starts. He averaged 4.0 points in 15.9 minutes per game.
Celtics, Spurs in the mix for Vucevic
It’s only a matter of time before Nikola Vucevic will be moved.
According to Cordell Long of CBS Sports, the Orlando Magic could soon move the 7-foot center to a playoff-ready team before the NBA trade deadline in February.
Long believes the San Antonio Spurs and Boston Celtics could be potential suitors.
Vucevic is averaging 20.2 points, 11.8 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game for the Magic.
