Could the Suns soon call Seattle home?
According to The Arizona Republic, Phoenix Suns owner Robert Sarver has told council members that he will take the team to Seattle or Las Vegas if the Phoenix City Council does not approve a $150 million upgrade package to Talking Stick Resort Arena.
The scene will soon be set for Seattle to bring back an NBA team. The NHL just awarded the Emerald City a franchise hockey team that will launch in a renovated KeyArena beginning 2021.
The 2018 WNBA champions, Seattle Storm, will also occupy the updated arena, and an NBA team could soon as well.
Clippers eyeing Kawhi, KD this summer
Per Brian Windhorst of ESPN, the Clippers are planning to pursue Kawhi Leonard and Kevin Durant, who will both be free agents next summer.
The two former NBA Finals MVPs would be an intriguing pairing on the Clippers, who haven’t filled the void since losing Blake Griffin and Chris Paul.
Despite losing their two All-Stars, Tobias Harris and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander have flourished for the Clippers, who currently sit fourth in the Western Conference.
NBA dancers reveal low pay, unrealistic body expectations
A recent article from Abby Haglage of Yahoo! Lifestyle reveals NBA dancers have been suffering through a decade-long culture of brainwashing, eating disorders and unfair pay.
The story featured 15 different women in the piece with all but one acknowledging they worked two jobs to have enough money to survive.
The Dallas Mavericks are the only team out of the 14 clubs featured in the story to comment on the problems dancers mentioned in the story.
Suns shut down Markelle Fultz trade rumors
Markelle Fultz will not be headed to the Valley of the Sun anytime soon.
According to Arizona Sports 98.7 radio host, John Gambadoro, the Suns have no interest in pursuing Fultz, the No. 1 pick in 2017.
The 76ers reportedly want to part ways with the guard, who was diagnosed with thoracic outlet syndrome earlier this month.
