Antonio Brown says "thank u, next" in Steelers farewell video
Antonio Brown has not been traded nor released, but his message is clear: he wants the Pittsburgh Steelers to trade him.
Brown shared a video on social media Tuesday bidding farewell to Pittsburgh with the following statement: “Thank you SteelerNation for a big 9 years…time to move on and forward.”
Brown has been on the outs with Pittsburgh since skipping a walkthrough in Week 17 after reportedly getting into an incident with Ben Roethlisberger
The earliest the Steelers can trade the seven-time Pro Bowler is March 13, the beginning of the new NFL year.
Kareem Hunt signs with Browns
Controversial running back Kareem Hunt has found a new home.
The Cleveland Browns announced Monday the team had signed Hunt to a one-year-contract. After that deal is over, Hunt will be a restricted free agent for Cleveland.
The Kansas City Chiefs released Hunt in November after a video surfaced showing him shoving and kicking a woman last February.
Hunt did not face charges for the incident, but was placed on the commissioner’s exempt list shortly before his release.
Would Seattle consider Kyler Murray?
By now, you’ve probably heard the news: Kyler Murray is officially declaring for the NFL Draft.
The Oklahoma Sooners dual-sport player announced on Twitter that he is “fully committing my life and time to becoming an NFL quarterback.”
The 2018 Heisman Trophy winner is expected to go early in the draft, but in the case he slides, Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times says the Seahawks might be inclined to make a move.
“if somehow he slips, then Seattle might have to seriously consider it, especially depending on what it may know about how things will go with Wilson’s contract talks.”
The Demaryius Thomas’ era is over in Houston
After just seven games in Houston, Demaryius Thomas time with the Texans is expected to come to a close.
According to the NFL Network’s James Palmer, Houston is expected to release the receiver on Tuesday.
Houston sent a fourth-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft to the Denver Broncos in a trade for Thomas in October.
In seven games, Thomas had 23 catches for 275 yards and two touchdowns in seven games.
