Peterson wants out of Arizona?
How much longer will we see Pro Bowl corner Patrick Peterson in an Arizona Cardinal uniform? Earlier this week, it was reported that Peterson requested a trade and wanted out of a Cardinals uniform, and after a rocky 1-6 start to this season, can you blame him?
And just like that, the trade rumors started filling up the NFL world. The Eagles, Saints, and Patriots all showed signs of interest in the 28-year-old veteran.
But slow your roll. Peterson came out today and clarified where he stands with the Cardinals organization:
In a statement released today acknowledging his comments, Peterson said: “I’ve been incredibly frustrated with how the season has gone. But my energy is 100% focused on being part of the solution & helping us turn this around. I’ve never shied away from a challenge before and I’m not starting now. I have always given my all to the Cardinals organization, my teammates & fans. That is what I intend to do for the years to come. I am an Arizona Cardinal, and my focus is on this weeks game.”
We traded Eli… Eli Apple
Perhaps the “funniest” news this week involved a trade that the New York Giants organization and the NFL world was waiting to hear. Except not really. Yesterday, the Giants traded former first-round draft pick corner Eli Apple to the Saints in exchange for a 4th-round pick in 2019 and a 7th-round pick in 2020.
And then the twitter world blew up with pictures of Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., and his potential reactions to this trade, especially because quarterback Eli Manning is most likely on the way out of New York.

Drew Brees is 39 years young
Drew Brees is out here still looking like a 25-year-old drinking 5-hour energy and staying up late playing Fortnite. The 39-year-old veteran is breaking records and continuing to have an impressive season year after year, and leading this Saints squad to a 5-1 record. Brees remains the only quarterback remaining this season to not have thrown an interception.
On Sunday vs. the Baltimore Ravens, Brees joins the small, elite QB club to throw 500 career touchdown passes.
See the tweet HERE.
Oh, and to add one more impressive stat, Brees has now defeated every team in the NFL.
Can anyone beat the Rams?
The only remaining undefeated team in the NFL, lead by a dynamic young backfield and complimented by a solid defense. Are the Los Angeles Rams on a one-way ticket to the Super Bowl? Well, we are only heading into week 8 of the NFL, but lets take a look at their upcoming schedule and the potential of getting that first loss?
Wk. 8 vs. Green Bay
Wk. 9 at New Orleans
Wk. 10 vs. Seattle
Wk. 11 vs. Kansas City
Wk. 12 BYE
Wk. 13 at Detroit
Wk. 14 at Chicago
Wk. 15 vs. Philadelphia
Wk. 16 at Arizona
Wk. 17 vs. San Fransisco
There are two potential upsets we see here: at the New Orleans Saints in two weeks and vs. the Kansas City Chiefs in week 11. The Saints because Drew Brees at home is a scary combination. Brees has the Saints offense clicking on all levels, and a strong run-game from N.O. will be crucial. The other is young gun Patrick Mahomes, which the Rams defense hasn’t seen an elite arm with a deep threat yet this season.
Something to keep an eye on for the remainder of the season…
