Richard Sherman throws shade at Russell Wilson
There’s no bad blood between 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman and Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson…right?
Sherman, who was cut by the Seahawks in March while he was recovering from a torn Achilles, had few choice words to share about his former QB on Thursday ahead of the two teams’ meeting in Seattle.
"I don't really have a relationship with Russell," Sherman told reporters. ”We were teammates, we played during a very special time for the franchise.”
Seth Wickersham of ESPN noted Sherman and Wilson’s rift last season, citing Sherman's inability to get past the team’s Super Bowl loss in 2014. From the looks of Sherman's recent comments, it's on this week in Seattle.
The Cowboys are for real
Drew Brees and the juggernaut New Orleans Saints were knocked down on Thursday night as the Dallas Cowboys held Brees and Co. to just 176 yards and their fewest points in three seasons.
The Cowboys 13-10 win over the Saints snapped a 10-game winning streak for New Orleans. Dallas now have four-consecutive victories and sit atop the NFC East with a 7-5 record.
It’s hard to think anyone can beat Dallas right now. Next up, they’ll face the 6-6 Eagles on December 9.
Chiefs in ugly situation with star Kareem Hunt
Does the NFL have another Ray Rice on its hands? A video emerged Friday of running back Kareem Hunt pushing and kicking a woman. The attack occurred at a Cleveland hotel last February, but Hunt was never suspended for the incident.
ESPN’s Dan Graziano said Hunt was at practice on Friday, but was later sent home and excused from participating in team activities.
According to Benjamin Allbright of Mile High Sports, sources claimed the Chiefs, and NFL knew of the video. It is unclear whether either organization had knowledge of the footage.
Le’Veon Bell to the Colts?
Le’Veon Bell will be a free agent at the end of the season. While we have no clue where he’ll end up, we have a feeling Bell wouldn’t mind teaming up with Andrew Luck.
The NFL recently showed some love for the Colts quarterback in a post on Instagram, and you know who else happened to dig it?
“Just imagine,” Bell commented on the post.
While it’s unclear if Bell is hinting at where he’d like to play in 2019, we could “just imagine” how great that the chemistry between Luck and Bell could be.
