4-star WR Isaiah Sategna commits to Oregon Ducks over USC, Texas A&M

During the 2021 recruiting cycle, the Ducks envisioned getting speedster Xavier Worthy to take the top off the defense, creating more room for top-ten receivers Troy Franklin and Dont'e Thornton on the outside. Worthy, once considered a heavy Oregon lean, ended up a Texas Longhorn, however.

Sunday, the Ducks got their guy in the form of 2022 four-star receiver and track star Isaiah Sategna.

The 5'11", 170-pound former Texas A&M commit decided to attend the University of Oregon over runner-up USC.

247Sports composite ranking rates Sategna as the nation's No. 223 overall player, good for a four-star rating, and the No, 34 wide receiver. 247Sports evalutors are slightly higher, rating him as the No, 29 wide receiver nationally.

As a junior in 2020, the speedster caught 41 balls for 823 yards and eight touchdowns.

During his sophomore track and field season, he won five state titles (60m, 60m high hurdles, 200m, 400m, long jump), setting state records in the 60m and 60m high hurdles.

Sategna is the third wide receiver to commit to Oregon this class, joining four-star Nicholas Anderson and fast-rising three-star Stephon Johnson

With this commitment, the Ducks hold the No. 9 class nationally and top group in the Pac-12 for 2022.
