The year 2020 was a rough year for the entire world if we are being honest.
Especially surrounding the world of sports and how the Covid-19 pandemic shifted a lot of usual scheduled things around.
For the Oregon Ducks football, efforts are now being made to try and get some games in sometime in the near future that was planned in 2020.
For instance, the Ducks are now in the stages of trying to reschedule a canceled nonconference game against North Dakota State that was supposed to be their 2020 season opener.
Matt Larsen, NDSU Athletic director, said “both programs want to reschedule” but it might be a while before these two schools face off.
Larsen actually said it might actually be at least six years before the Bison appear at Autzen Stadium.
“Our fan base, this was the single most important game to them since six years ago when we signed it and something they had circled on the calendar,” Larsen said.
The 2020 season for most of college football only had a 6-game conference only regular season. The changes wiped out the Sept. 5 game between the Ducks and Bison.
The Ducks don’t have any openings on future football schedules until about 2027, while the Bison have an opening as soon as 2023.
