With Oregon Ducks softball star Haley Cruse stepping away from the college game after a fifth season in Eugene, the super senior is ready to advance to the next step of her life with her master's in hand.

What that has in store remains to be seen but one thing's for sure, it will be with Milwaukee Brewers developmental prospect Garrett Mitchell by her side.

The two got engaged this past weekend, which was announced on Cruse's Twitter account.

Here's the video of the engagement, which Cruse posted for her 732k followers to see.

"So yeah, this happened 😭💍," wrote Cruse. "forever with you is still not enough time!! I love you so much @garrett_mitchell5"

The two began dating during the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic before Mitchell was drafted 20th overall by the Brewers.

Cruse and Mitchell did long distance while she finished her career at Oregon and he began his professional career.
