The Oregon Ducks women’s basketball team has lost another veteran player.
Ducks guard Taylor Mikesell, who averaged 9.3 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 20 starts this season, entered the transfer portal according to James Crepea of The Oregonian earlier this week.
Thursday, she announced her intentions to enroll at Ohio State.
Mikesell has two years of eligibility remaining in her college career.
She transferred from Maryland last summer to Oregon.
For the Ducks, she shot 44.4% from the field, including 33.3% from three-point range. She also shot a team-high 92.5% from the foul line.
Mikesell is the third guard from Oregon to transfer this offseason. She joins Taylor Chavez and Jaz Shelley who left earlier this year for Arizona and Nebraska.
This likely opens up a starting spot for one of Maddie Scherr or Sydney Parish.
