Five intriguing options to replace Willie Taggart
Kevin Sumlin: Might be the biggest name out there. Recently fired from Texas A&M where he went 51-26 over six seasons in the rugged SEC.
Justin Wilcox: California coach who has been there for one season. Strong defensive coach who played at Oregon. His contract of 5-years and $9.58 million would be easy for the Ducks to double.
Mario Cristobal: Oregon's co-offensive coordinator would be a logical candidate in order to maintain continuity. Reports say that defensive coordinator Jim Leavitt will accompany Taggart o FSU. Cristobal has head coaching experience, is considered to be a great recruiter and could help to hold the promising 2018 recruiting class largely intact.
Jim McElwain: He was one of the Ducks' top targets last year. Oregon offered the job and after initially accepting it, he later backed out of the deal to remain at Florida. The Gators fired him this season after a 3-4 start. He went 22-12 with Florida over three seasons.
Bryan Harsin: The Boise State coach was on Oregon's radar last year and should be considered a viable candidate this time around. He is 41-12 over four seasons at Boise State and just won his second Mountain West Conference championship. The Broncos will face Oregon in the Dec. 16 Las Vegas Bowl.
