It's no shocker an Oregon Duck would stay within the Nike family.
Satou Sabally has signed with Jordan Brand, the company announced via its website on Thursday.
"It feels amazing," said Satou about signing with Jordan.
"When I first heard that there was interest, it was obviously mutual, and I was so excited. It’s a dope brand that shows what family means on and off the court. The brand comes with a lot of swag, from MJ to the greatness of this sport and its power to move culture."
When asked what the Jumpman logo means to her, Satou responded "excellence, diversity and inclusion in sports. It brings together so many layers of community, and I love that it uplifts the Black community. It’s the peak of sports, empowerment and culture."
Since being selected second overall by the Dallas Wings during the 2020 WNBA Draft, Sabally became a WNBA All-Rookie selection and was the only rookie to serve in a leadership role on the WNBA Social Justice Council.
Now, Dallas owns the top two picks in the 2021 WNBA Draft with expectations of drafting Texas center Charli Collier and Awak Kuier from Finland.
Still, expect Satou to lead the team for the foreseeable future given her diverse skillset and fluidity for a woman her size.
In three seasons at Oregon, Sabally won the Cheryl Miller Award (nation's top SF), was a First Team All-American, two-time All-Pac-12 selection, the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year, and averaged 16.2 points with a career-high 6.9 rebounds per game while making 29 starts during her junior season.
She forwent her senior season to enter the WNBA Draft. She is the second Duck from the 2019-20 team to sign with a Nike company after Sabrina Ionescu signed with Nike shortly after being selected by the New York Liberty first overall.
