After committing to Oregon and then re-opening his recruitment, the nation’s No. 3 JUCO corner Jadarruis Perkins has decided to pursue his collegiate career elsewhere.
Perkins announced on Wednesday that he will stay home and play for the Missouri Tigers.
The 6’2”, 185-pound corner and No. 5 overall JUCO prospect (from 247Sports Composite) from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College originally committed to Oregon back on May 29, 2020.
But decided to re-open his recruitment on December 5:
“I love the University of Oregon the fans and coaching staff. I would just like to open my recruitment. Not saying I will not come to The University of Oregon but I would just like to look at things from the outside on more time before I finally decide my future…”
Many predicted Perkins would choose the Mississippi State Bulldogs after de-committing from Oregon, but the Hattiesburg, Missouri-native elected to stay home.
