Update: Wilson has announced his intention to transfer to UNLV and rejoin his old offensive coordinator Marcus Arroyo who took over as head coach of the Rebels after the 2020 Rose Bowl.
The original article is as follows for Wilson entering the transfer portal.
Two days after the conclusion of the 2020 college football season, the Oregon Ducks have lost another player to the transfer portal.
Redshirt freshman running back Jayvaun Wilson announced Monday evening he has decided to leave Eugene and enter the transfer portal after two seasons on campus in which he never played a snap.
Heading into the season, junior running back Cyrus Habibi-Likio complimented Wilson for his performances during training camp.
"[Wilson is] a lot more comfortable in this offense,” Habibi-Likio said. “Last year he was running a bit high in practice. Now he’s lowering his pads and bending."
Wilson was a four-star prospect by 247Sports and a composite three-star in the 2019 recruiting class. He was ranked as the nation's No. 24 athlete based on composite rating.
The redshirt freshman was likely the sixth string running back this season behind CJ Verdell, Travis Dye, Cyrus Habibi-Likio, Sean Dollars and Trey Benson.
