The Raiders have placed QB Marcus Mariota and LB Tanner Muse on the Injured Reserve List, the team announced Monday.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Mariota has been very limited in practice while dealing with a pectoral strain.

There’s no word yet on the timetable for his return or the severity of Mariota’s injury.

The former Oregon Duck has been competing for the starting job with Derek Carr.

Las Vegas kicks off the regular season Sunday, Sept. 13 on the road at Carolina.

It was on March 17th when Mariota signed with the Las Vegas Raiders as an unrestricted free agent. The contract was a two-year deal worth $17.6 million.
