The Oregon Ducks are on their way to arguably the best recruiting class in program history. At least that's what head coach Mario Cristobal claimed heading into May and it definitely appears to be heading in that direction.

Here's a look at the 2021 recruiting class so far, listed alphabetically by last name.

Composite Ranking: No. 52 CB, No. 678 Overall

The latest addition from Mater Dei Catholic High School is Darren Barkins, a three-star cornerback. The 6-foot-1, 170-pound corner held offers from other Pac-12 schools Arizona, Cal, Oregon State, UCLA, Washington and Washington State as well as Oklahoma, UNLV and Boise State among others before deciding on Mario Cristobal and flocking north to Eugene, Oregon.

Composite Ranking: No. 52 S, No. 681 Overall

Oregon has recruited him to play boundary safety or nickel cornerback and he plans to enroll early this January.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pound prospect is rated the No. 7 player in the state of Utah and the No. 44 strong safety nationally in the class of 2021.

Brevard could develop into a monster redzone threat with his size and ability to high point the ball. Once he's in a college strength program and gets up to 215, he should be a useful blocker on the outside as well.

Composite Ranking: No. 4 ILB, No. 99 Overall

Brown committed to Oregon following a visit to Eugene for the rivalry game against Oregon State. He was then the top-ranked inside linebacker in the nation but has dropped to fourth with recent rankings, but remains a top-100 recruit nationally.

He's served as an active recruiter for the 2021 class since committing.

Composite Ranking: No. 56 OLB, No. 865 Overall

As a junior, the son of former NFL defensive tackle Brentson Buckner, he recorded 14.5 sacks despite missing the first four games of the season. Additionally, he recorded 25 tackles-for-loss and had 50 total tackles which made him 6A All-Region First Team selection and a Max Preps All-Arizona First Team Selection.

Once again, the Ducks get a commitment out of Mater Dei High School, their third of the 2021 class, and second cornerback.

Davies announced his final four on May 16: Oregon, Ohio State, USC and Arizona State. Oregon beat out two other Pac-12 conference schools as well as powerhouse Ohio State. The Califlock pipeline continues to dominate West Coast collegiate football.

The Ducks took in a second tight end in Ferguson, cementing the tight end depth chart for the foreseeable future.

As a junior, the 6'5", 230-pound Ferguson had 54 receptions for 929 yards and 11 touchdowns following up a breakout sophomore season of 69 receptions for 972 yards and nine touchdowns.

What is better than one Flowe linebacker? How about two!

Mario Cristobal and the Oregon Ducks secured a commitment from four-star linebacker Jonathan Flowe Tuesday afternoon, one day ahead of when he can sign his letter of intent to play in Eugene, Oregon. You may know him as the younger brother of former five-star linebacker Justin Flowe from the 2020 recruiting class.

The 6'1", 200-pound prospect is a four-star linebacker via composite ranking and is the No. 13 outside linebacker in the nation, No. 218 player nationally.

Flowe is expected to sign with Oregon in the spring.

Composite Ranking: No. 3 WR, No. 30 Overall

At the time of his commitment, Franklin was a four-star but also the nation's No. 2 WR. He has since gotten a fifth star but dropped to the third-ranked wide receiver nationally.

He's the second-highest rated wide receiver commitment in program history only trailing 2004 recruit Cameron Colvin (No. 16 overall).

When Light committed to Oregon he was a three-star center but has worked his way up to four-star status by killing it at camps. One of the best centers in the country seems like a perfect for Mario Cristobal.

After not signing a tight end in the 2020 class, the Ducks made it a priority this year to get elite talent at the position. They did just that landing the No. 4 TE in the country.

“The home field... it’s close to home. In a sense, it is close to home,” Matavao told The Oregonian's Andrew Nemec before making his decision. “I really love the coaching staff there. Spencer Webb, their tight end, who is just a freshman produced really well. Also, watching Jacob Breeland perform and now he’s in ‘The League.’ They have all the qualities I’m really looking for.”

The first commitment of the 2021 recruiting class happened all the way back in 2018, when then-sophomore running back Seven McGee committed to the University of Oregon. He would later de-commit briefly before deciding to remain a part of the Ducks' 2021 class a month later.

He will get some carries out of the backfield in Oregon but also has a desire to play in the slot. He could serve as a replacement for Jaylon Redd (and compete with Mycah Pittman) who will graduate when McGee steps on campus.

Oregon plans to use him as an edge rusher at outside linebacker that can also drop back in coverage similar to Mase Funa this past season.

As a junior, McNeill had 145 tackles, five sacks, three pass breakups and five forced fumbles for Sanderson High School.

"The way they talk about using me it sounds really fun," McNeill told ScoopDuck in June. "I get to tear down the lineman every play, go sack the quarterback, drop back and get a pick-six."

Miller held offers from Arizona State, Penn State, Texas, USC, Washington, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, Oklahoma State, Tennessee and Utah.

Long considered an Oregon lean due to his close relationship with the Sewell family, the 6'5, 280-pound prospect officially committed to Oregon in September.

"His ceiling is so high and he’s improved greatly this season that he could easily be a first-rounder down the line," wrote Rivals National Recruiting Director Mike Farrell.

Thompson committed a month after receiving an offer by Joe Moorhead and the Oregon Ducks. Despite being listed as a pro-style quarterback, he does have the ability to run which makes him an ideal fit in Moorhead's offense that flourished in Happy Valley with Penn State's Trace McSorely.

Long considered a heavy Oregon lean, Thornton originally stated he didn't want to commit until the Adidas All-American game on January 2nd. But given the lack of official visits due to the pandemic, Thornton moved up his decision date to October.

As a junior, Thornton caught 38 passes for 1,021 yards and 16 touchdowns.

247Sports national recruiting analyst Brian Dohn projects Thornton to be an eventual Day 2 NFL Draft pick with a comparison of Detroit Lions wide receiver Kenny Golladay.

Tilmon held offers from Baylor, Kansas State, Arizona, SMU, Texas Tech, Minnesota, and others.

As a sophomore, Tilmon registered 5.0 sacks and 31 total tackles according to MaxPreps.

Williams becomes the latest addition to the #CaliflOck to commit to the Oregon Ducks. California's No. 2 defensive end should contend to start as a redshirt freshman, if he doesn't play in at least five games as a true freshman, following Kayvon Thibodeaux likely leaving for the NFL.
