With college football fans gearing up for the 2021 season, Oregon Ducks defensive end Kayvon Thibodeaux is giving fans another reason to be pumped for fall.
This week, eBay, one of the world’s top destinations for sports memorabilia and other collectibles, announced its partnership with Thibodeaux to bring fans an exclusive auction.
Thibodeaux, who earlier this summer was given the third best odds to be selected No. 1 overall in the 2022 NFL draft, is teaming up with eBay to bring “a truly first-of-its-kind, historic auction to the marketplace,” eBay says.
The exclusive auction begins on September 7 with a chance for Oregon fans to outbid other sports fans on eBay for a one of a kind canvas that was created by legendary sneaker designer and Ducks alum, Tinker Hatfield.
The canvas is autographed by both Thibodeaux and Hatfield and was inspired by the recent NFT that Hatfield and Nike founder, Phil Knight, designed.
As the sophomore defensive end gears up for what is expected to be another stellar year in green and yellow, there’s no doubt that Thibodeaux has been taking advantage of the NCAA’s decision to the changes in name, image and likeness rules in college football.
Earlier this summer, Thibodeaux signed a marketing deal with United Airlines. The airline will provide direct flights for select road games for the Ducks this upcoming season from Eugene, Oregon.
Fittingly, the direct flight's partnership will commence when the Ducks make their way to Ohio to face off against Ohio State on Sept. 11.
And now sports fans can experience a unique eBay auction with the 2019 Pac-12 Defensive Freshman of the Year.
