Oregon Ducks fall one spot in latest AP Top 25 poll

The Oregon Ducks (0-0) haven't even played a game yet, and it might be starting to hurt them.

After another week of college football action without the Pac-12, the conference's highest-ranked team fell in the rankings.

The latest AP Top 25 poll was released Sunday morning and the Ducks saw themselves come in at No.13, down one spot from the previous week.

Oregon was jumped by BYU (5-0) who remained undefeated with a 43-26 win over the Houston Cougars.

The Ducks are one of just two Pac-12 teams currently in the Top 25, with USC coming in at No.24, a spot up from last week.

Interestingly enough, the Big Ten, which has also yet to see its teams play a game, saw all of its teams jump in the poll while Oregon fell.

Ohio State (0-0) climbed a spot to No.5. Penn State (0-0) went from No.9 to No.8. Wisconsin jumped two spots to No.16. Michigan rose a single spot to No.18, and Minnesota saw a three-spot jump from No.24 to No.21.

Oregon was the only team from the two Power 5 conferences that have yet to play who fell in this week's rankings.

Luckily for the Ducks, being in the Top 15 is still a great starting spot as they near the November 7 start of their season against Stanford.

The Big Ten is also right around the corner, with its teams set to start their season on October 24.

Once those two conferences start playing there is sure to be a giant shakeup in the rankings.

Hopefully, it all shakes out in Oregon's favor.
