Recruiting visits may be halted due to the pandemic, but recruiting hasn't stopped.
The work has once again paid off as the Oregon Ducks landed a commitment from Terrell Tilmon: a three-star, 6'4, 215-pound weakside defensive end from Texas for the 2021 class.
“I have always dreamed about playing college football since I was little and can’t believe I have the opportunity to do that,” Tilmon tweeted. “First, I’d like to thank God for giving me the strength and opportunity to play the sport I love. I’d like to thank my family for always supporting me, and a big thank you to my mom and dad for making the sacrifices to get me where I am today. I know it was tough but I promise it will pay off. I’d like to thank the Mansfield Timberview coaching staff for building me up to be a great player and an even better person. I’d like to thank all of the coaches that have given me an opportunity to play at their school. Last, but not least, I’d like to thank my friends, brothers and teammates, for pushing me and never letting me give up on myself. With that being said, I will be taking my talents and committing to the University of Oregon.”
Ranked as the nation's 33rd weakside defensive end by 247Sports, Tilmon held offers from Baylor, Kansas State, Arizona, SMU, Texas Tech, Minnesota, and others.
As a sophomore, Tilmon registered 5.0 sacks and 31 total tackles according to MaxPreps.
