The Oregon Ducks were one of them.
Bates played prep basketball at IMG Academy and is originally from Kansas City, Kansas, and he is the eighth-best combo-guard in the country and the 14th best prospect in the state of Kansas.
The Ducks have a history of guards like Payton Pritchard and Joe Young win Pac-12 Player of the Year under the coaching of Dana Altman. Luke Ridnour also won the award prior to Altman's arrival.
The Oregon Ducks currently don't hold any verbal commitments for the class of 2021, and they are expected to sign anywhere from three to six players in the class.
