After two gruesome weeks of back-to-back Oregon losses, the Ducks got it done on Friday against USC in the Pac-12 Championship Game in Los Angeles, California.
So what comes next? A bowl game!
With the 31-24 win over the Trojans, the Ducks have earned the automatic bid from the Pac-12 conference to the Playstation Fiesta Bowl in Glendale, Arizona on Saturday, January 2, 2021.
Tie-in: At-large vs. Pac-12
Projected Opponents: Indiana, Coastal Carolina, Northwestern, Louisiana
Ohio State and Northwestern will square off for in the Big Ten Championship game on Saturday morning. Should Ohio State win, likely the Buckeyes will claim one of the College Football Playoff spots and then the Ducks could face Northwestern or Indiana. But a recent projection also has Coastal Carolina (whose game against Louisiana was cancelled) as a potential opponent.
Kickoff between the Buckeyes (5-0) and Wildcats (6-1) is scheduled for 9 a.m. (PT) at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The last time Oregon played in the Playstation Fiesta Bowl, De’Anthony Thomas took the opening kickoff to the house and the Ducks defeated Kansas State 35-17 on January 3, 2013.
