Redshirt sophomore Tyler Shough has been starting all season for the Ducks but he has struggled the previous two games against Cal and USC to end the season.

Players to watch:

Tyler Shough: Oregon's starter began the season as one of the nation's most efficient passers but has only gotten worse as the season went on. In the second half of the Pac-12 Championship, Oregon rarely called any pass plays down the field and even tried to convert 3rd-and-long by running up the gut three times. He needs to play better if Oregon wants to win the Fiesta Bowl.

Anthony Brown: The graduate transfer from Boston College saw his first playing time of the season against USC in goal-line and short-yardage packages. He finished the game with two passing touchdowns and a fourth-down conversion on four attempts. If Shough struggles again, maybe Oregon calls Brown's number.

Meanwhile, the Cyclones have one of the Big 12's best passers in true junior Brock Purdy, who played Shough in high school four times, in fact.

Players to watch:

Brock Purdy: After being underrated as a high school prospect, Purdy has made those evaluations look stupid as the Cyclones starting quarterback since his true freshman season. On the season, he has passed for 2,594 yards (7.7 per attempt), 18 touchdowns and nine interceptions. He can also run the ball, having rushed for 343 yards on 78 attempts in 2020.
