Oregon women's hoops remains inside Top-10 in latest AP Poll rankings

You have to go back 65 weeks to find the Oregon women’s basketball team not ranked in the AP Poll Top-10.

65 weeks ago was late September, 2019.

On Monday, the latest AP Poll Top-25 rankings were released and the Ducks found themselves in familiar territory.

The Pac-12 conference is the most competitive and challenging in all of women’s college hoops. Here’s how the AP Poll Top-25 shapes out with the Pac-12:

  • No. 1 Stanford Cardinal (7-0)
  • No. 6 Arizona Wildcats (7-0)
  • No. 8 Oregon Ducks (7-0)
  • No. 11 UCLA Bruins (5-2)

Stanford passed it’s first conference test with a 20-point win over USC and a 12-point victory over then-No. 10 UCLA. Meanwhile, Arizona escaped USC and UCLA with close wins early on in their season.

Stanford and Arizona will face one another on Friday, January 1.

The Ducks are coming off their first close victory this season with a four-point win over the Washington State Cougars in Pullman, Washington last Monday. Erin Boley hit a perfect 5-for-5 from three-point range and finished with 18 points. Nyara Sabally recorded a double-double 19 points and 14 rebounds in the win.

Next up, the Ducks will return home for a weekend series hosting USC and UCLA beginning on Friday, January 1. Tip-off time is TBD.
