Sabrina Ionescu misses game with left ankle tendinitis

Bad news Ducks fans, the WNBA's most exciting player may be sidelined for a bit.

Sabrina Ionescu will miss the Liberty's game against Phoenix Sunday due to "left ankle tendinitis" the team announced shortly prior to tip-off.

This is the same ankle which required surgery to remove some scar tissue after a season-ending Grade 3 ankle sprain inside the WNBA bubble.

It's her first missed game of the season. In 9 games, Ionescu has averaged 13.7 points on 38.5%, 39.7%, 90.7% shooting splits to go with 6.3 assists and 5.2 rebounds per game in 2021.

After winning just two games last season, with Ionescu sidelined for all but three games, the Liberty are 5-4 on the season.

As a rookie, Ionescu averaged 18.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 4.0 assists in 2.5 games.

Get well soon, Sabrina!
