Timeline of Historic Hayward Field through the years

So we thought why not go through the timeline of Hayward Field.
1919 - Constructed as a Football Field
1937 - Turf installed
1949 - Additional Seats Added
1962 - Hosted NCAA Championships
1966 - Last Football Game at Hayward Field
The last football game played at Hayward Field was a 14-13 loss to Washington State.
1970 - Becomes designated solely for track and field
1972 - Hosts the Olympic Trials for the first time
1975 - Rebuild West Grandstands
1984 - Weight room moved to separate building
1988 - Track changed to 400 yards, from 440 yards and East grandstand moved
1992 - Bowerman Family Building completed
2000 - Bill Bowerman statue added
2005 - Powell Plaza
2007 - Permanent lighting built
2008 - New scoreboard
2014 - Hosted IAAF World Junior Championships
2017 - Complete Renovation begins
2020 - Complete
