Two former Oregon Ducks make Top 10 in WNBA jersey sales

Sabrina Ionescu and Satou Sabally continue to make headlines in just their first year in the WNBA.

The duo made history during the 2020 WNBA Draft being the first pair to get selected No. 1 and No. 2 overall from the same school since the UConn Huskies had three players taken in the first three picks in 2016: Breanna Stewart (Seattle), Moriah Jefferson (San Antonio) and Morgan Tuck (Connecticut).

Now, they join elite company in this season’s WNBA jersey sales.

Ionescu’s New York Liberty jersey sold out within hours of her historic selection on draft night, something she is used to after her Oregon jersey sold out within a day in her senior season. Despite playing in just three games before a season-ending ankle injury, Ionescu’s jersey comes in at No. 4 on the list.

The New York Liberty also came in at No. 2 on popular team merchandise.

Sabally played in 16 games this season averaging 13.9 points and 7.8 points. Her season resulted in a unanimous vote to the WNBA All-Rookie team.

Not bad for these former Ducks in their first WNBA season.
