The 6'5, 265-pound edge rusher ranks as the No. 8 defensive lineman on the West Coast per 247Sports composite ranking, to go with No. 96 overall DL nationally, No. 46 player in California and No. 654 nationally regardless of position.

247Sports evaluators have him listed as the No. 81 DL and No. 49 player in California.

Oregon offered him back in February 2021.

He holds a single crystal ball prediction on his 247Sports page, which has him becoming an Oregon Duck.

Rowell told Bruin Report in May he was planning official visits to Michigan, Oregon and USC in June along with an unofficial to Stanford.

"I talk to coach (Joe) Salave'a and coach (Mario) Cristobal a lot," he told Bruin Report. "Those two guys have mainly been on me and we've had some great Zoom calls."

Rowell wants to make a decision this summer ahead of his senior season and enroll in college next January, after signing in December.
