Former Oregon State alum Adley Rutschman seemingly has a knack for going viral on social media.
The No.1 overall of the 2019 MLB draft had one a TikTok video blow up over the weekend on his page, where it featured Rutschman and three of his teammates in the locker room lip-synching the 2007 hit, “Potential Breakup Song.”
The video itself received 5.3 million views and over 950K likes in three days.
This is not the first time Rutschman has gone viral before. Back in July, he was making headlines all over social media for his comment that he left onon “The Bachelor”star Madison Prewett page.
His comment redirection of her caption went like this: “roses are red, violets are blue.. I’ll change your last name to Rutschman from Prew,” which Prewett replied quickly with, “woah this moving really fast… first I need to know how do u say that last name.”
A very fair and valid question to ask.
Rutschman did not see any action for this season because he was sent to the team’s alternate training site.
Oregon State fans and Orioles fans will have to wait till next spring to see the catcher in action on the field and not as much as he is on social media.
