It's another Pac-12 After Dark special for the Oregon State Beavers on Saturday as the Pac-12 conference wraps up “regular season” play.
The Beavers (2-3) and Stanford Cardinal (2-2) will kickoff at 7:00 p.m. (PT) in Reser Stadium.
This game was originally supposed to be down in the Bay Area, but due to the high rise of COVID cases in the area, the game was moved to Corvallis, Oregon.
Oregon State is coming off a close loss at Utah last Saturday but the Beavers were without both their starting quarterback Tristan Gebbia and star running back Jermar Jefferson. Head coach Jonathan Smith said that Gebbia was likely to miss the rest of the season after sustaining a hamstring injury against the Oregon Ducks two weeks ago. Jefferson was ruled out due to COVID-related issues of contact tracing.
Backup quarterback Chance Nolan took over the starting role for Gebbia and had an up-and-down evening in Utah last weekend. He finished 20-for-38 completions for 202 total yards, one touchdown and one interception. Third string running back Calvin Tyler Jr. was a bright spot in the Beavers offense with two touchdowns on the ground.
Meanwhile, the Cardinal are coming off back-to-back wins: a 24-23 win at Cal thanks to a blocked extra point; and a 31-26 win at Washington last Saturday.
These two teams are both third and fourth respectively in the Pac-12 standings.
