Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster just fired up the wrong team.
Ahead of Sunday’s game between the Steelers and Bills at Buffalo, Smith-Schuster posted a video to his TikTok account dancing on the Bills logo midfield.
“Keep it going tonight,” Smith-Schuster captioned the video.
The viral video did not sit well with the Bills defense, especially safety Jordan Poyer, who said Smith-Schuster’s pregame antics gave Buffalo something extra to play for in Week 14.
“We felt the momentum of the game swing,” the former Oregon State Beaver said after Sunday’s game. “And I ain’t going to lie. Seeing them dancing on our logo pre-game and seeing all that, that turns you up a little bit. It kind of gives you a little second itch to come and play with some extra fire. We were hyped up on the sideline, we had a big win. And we were just having fun.”
The TikTok moves inadvertently hyped up the Bills, and backfired on the Steelers, who fell to the AFC East leaders 26-15 at Bills Stadium. Buffalo is now 10-3 on the season, while Pittsburgh dropped to 11-2.
In the end, the Bills were the ones doing the dancing. It looks like Smith-Schuster won’t be celebrating on the Bills logo again anytime soon.
