Three-star wide receiver Jimmy Valsin committed to Oregon State Monday afternoon as announced on his Twitter account.
The 6'3", 180-pound prospect chose the Beavers over offers from Boise State, Cincinnati, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Houston, Illinois, Utah, Kansas State, Washington State, and more.
He narrowed his choices to a top-eight on June 1st: Kansa State, Houston, Syracuse, Utah, Colorado, Illinois, Washington State and Oregon State.
A three-star recruit by composite ranking (No. 818 nationally, No. 120 WR, No. 113 in Texas) and by 247Sports rating as well (No. 91 WR, No. 95 Texas), Valsin had 33 receptions for 659 yards and eight touchdowns as a junior at Bowie High School in Arlington, TX.
Oregon State's 2021 recruiting class ranks 12th in the Pac-12 due to a limited number of scholarships, but ranks ninth in the conference on average rating according to Andrew Nemec of The Oregonian.
