On a week where Jonathan Smith and the Oregon State Beavers signed transfers Deshaun Fenwick and E.J. Jones through the NCAA transfer portal, the Beavs weren’t quite done.

On Thursday, Oregon State landed offensive lineman Heneli Bloomfield from Utah State University.

After entering his name into the transfer portal on December 31, 2020, Bloomfield received an offer from Oregon State on Wednesday, January 6 and committed 24 hours later.

The 6’3”, 300-pound offensive lineman from Sandy, Utah played the last three seasons at Utah State. He redshirted his first year (2018) with the Aggies but then played in all 13 games (starting four) in 2019. He finished the season playing in 424 offensive snaps.

The Aggies (1-5) offense ranked middle of the Mountain West Conference in rushing yards per game (140.0) and finished the season averaging 4.4 yards per carry.

Now he will join a team that featured one of the nation’s top running backs last year (Jermar Jefferson has declared for the 2021 NFL Draft), and as a team, averaged 197.6 yards per game.

Welcome to Corvallis, Oregon, Heneli!
