OSU Beavers defeat Loyola Chicago to advance to Elite 8 & social media explodes

The Beavers are still dancing!

The 12th-seeded Oregon State Beavers upset No. 8 Loyola-Chicago Saturday afternoon, 65-58, to advance to the program's first Elite 8 in 39 years. The 1982 run was later vacated by the NCAA so discounting that season, the Beavers have not been one of the final eight teams since 1966.

Ethan Thompson led Oregon State with 22 points including a breakaway dunk to pause the Ramblers' momentum in the second half.
