The NBA Draft may be in the rearview mirror, but that does not mean teams aren’t stopping their pursuit to fill out rosters.
And while NBA free agency is underway, news about former Oregon State forward Tres Tinkle came down Friday, and he'll finally get his chance to begin his professional career.
Tinkle, who went undrafted, has agreed to an Exhibit 10 contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, per Jeff Goodman of Stadium.
An Exhibit 10 contract is a one-year, minimum salary deal that usually aren’t guaranteed, but allow the player to earn bonuses up to $50,000 if they are waived by the NBA team and remain with the franchise’s G League team for at least 60 days.
Tinkle, who is the son of Oregon State coach Wayne Tinkle, is also Oregon State’s all-time leading scorer with 2,233 points.
In school history, Tinkle is in the top-10 in 17 separate categories.
