With prospects able to visit campus in-person to view the Beavers top-25 facilities nationally, Oregon State had found new momentum on the recruiting trail this year.
That hasn't stopped as the program got a commitment from 247Sports three-star defensive lineman Takari Hickle Monday afternoon.
The 6'4", 240-pound lineman from Tenino, WA holds an offer from Nevada. He's unrated by composite ranking but 247Sports evaluates him as a three-star prospect as the nation's No. 207 DL and No. 39 player in Washington.
Now, he gets to stay in the Pacific Northwest and develop. He's playing 1A football in Washington but his measurements of an 83.5-inch wingspan (nearly 7 feet) and 11 1/8-inch hands give him a high-upside frame.
Oregon State offered him on July 9th, 2021 while on an official visit. It was his second offer.
He's the 11th Beavers commitment of the 2022 class, good for the nation's No. 50 class and No. 8 in the Pac-12.
