It was a rough second half as the Portland Thorns let a point slip away, allowing two second-half goals in a 2-0 loss at North Carolina on Saturday.

Portland gave up goals in the 57th and 66th minutes, both to Lynn Williams.

The first goal was the first goal given up by the Thorns backline in nearly a month, that's 371 minutes of game time. The team hadn't allowed a goal since May 26th in Orlando.

It was the last match for Olympians Adriana Franch, Crystal Dunn, Lindsey Horan, Becky Sauerbrunn and Christine Sinclair.

2021 NWSL Draft Yazmeen Ryan also made her NWSL debut during the second half as a sub.

Next, Portland plays at Racing Louisville FC on Saturday, July 3 at 4:30 p.m. (Pacific) on Paramount Plus.
