Timbers & Thorns release statement following Derek Chauvin conviction

On Tuesday, former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin was found guilty on all three counts for the murder of George Floyd. He was remanded into custody, his bail revoked and awaits sentencing. 

After the verdict, people and organizations, such as the Portland Timbers and Thorns, reacted to the news.

Chauvin faces up to 40 years in prison when he returns for sentencing in eight weeks.
