The Portland Timbers and Tomás Conechny have agreed to mutually part ways, the team announced via a press release Wednesday afternoon.
In 31 career appearances (7 starts) across all competitions for Portland from 2018-2020, Conechny tallied one goal and three assists. During the 2020 MLS regular season, Conechny played in eight games (3 starts) for Portland. The 22-year-old was acquired by the Timbers from Argentinian side San Lorenzo on July 22, 2019, after originally joining Portland on loan in 2018.
With Conechny gone, the Timbers will lose some depth in the midfield with the CONCACAF Champions League beginning in a shade under four weeks.
The MLS Regular Season begins on April 18th at Vancouver Whitecaps FC.
