Portland Timbers announce full 2021 season schedule

It's here! The 2021 MLS season is just around the corner and on Wednesday the Portland Timbers officially announced their full 2021 schedule.

The Timbers will start the season on the road against Cascadia-rival, the Vancouver Whitecaps. But the game won't be played north of the border. With COVID-19 restrictions impacting international travel, the Whitecaps will open the season calling Rio Tinto Stadium in Salt Lake City home.

Six days after the trip to Utah the Timbers will open up the home slate by hosting the Houston Dynamo.

The biggest bright spot of the schedule is knowing that fans will be back in the stands!

The Oregon Health Authority announced earlier this month that outdoor sporting events could have fans in the stands, with a 25 percent capacity limit.

Timbers fans will get their first chance to step foot back in Providence Park on April 13th when the Timbers hos with C.D. Marathón in a Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League match.

17 games on the road. 17 games at home. It's going to be a fun 2021 season!
