Portland Timbers match against Colorado Rapids postponed to Nov. 4

The Portland Timbers will no longer be playing this upcoming weekend.

The MLS announced Thursday afternoon, their game against Colorado this Saturday, October 3rd has been postponed to November 4th (7:00 p.m. PT) due to positive COVID-19 tests.

"Two additional Colorado Rapids players and one additional staff member have confirmed cases of COVID-19," said Portland Timbers PR. 

On Tuesday, The Athletic reported nine Rapids staff members and two players had tested positive for the virus since last Thursday. Colorado has kept its training facility closed since September 24th when the first positive tests came back within the organization. 

Next, Portland will travel south to take on the Los Angeles Galaxy on Wednesday, October 7th at 7:30 p.m. PT.
