Blazers look to start new streak in Los Angeles, but will Lillard play?
Lillard is listed as 'probable'
Damian Lillard sat out of practice on Tuesday, but went through an individual workout after practice. He said he spent about 4 hours going through rehab on his right knee on the Blazers' off day on Monday. He told the media that he plans to play Wednesday vs. the Lakers. Lillard said it's mostly just discomfort at this point. He'll go through a workout before the game and then decide on his availability. The Blazers have officially listed him as 'probable'.
Rondo was a difference maker in last meeting
Wednesday's game will be the third meeting between these two teams this season. Lakers point guard Rajon Rondo had 17 points and 10 rebounds against Portland on November 3rd when the Lakers evened up the season series at 1-1 after Rondo had posted 13 points and 11 assists before fouling out in the first meeting back on October 18th.
New backup big for LA
The Lakers are undefeated in their last three games since acquiring veteran center Tyson Chandler in a trade with the Phoenix Suns. Chandler is coming off the bench and averaging 3.0 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 22.7 minutes of action.
For the Trail Blazers, Damian Lillard (right knee) is probable and Maurice Harkless (left knee) is out for Wednesday's game against the Lakers.
Lakers' Isaac Bonga, Alex Caruso and Johnathan Williams (G League Team) are out for Wednesday's contest.
