It is finally time to uncork CJ McCollum’s signature pinot noir!

The 2018 Pinot noir is McCollum Heritage 91’s inaugural wine, made in partnership with Adelsheim Vineyard. It’s pulled from three of Adelsheim’s most prized estate vineyards in the Chehalem Mountains, all planted on deep volcanic soil: Boulder Bluff, Quarter Mile Lane and Bryan Creek.

McCollum made the announcement on Instagram:

Without further ado I want to introduce you to the McCollum Heritage 91 in partnership with Adelsheim Vineyard. My own Pinot noir. A real bar if you will. Years of preparation and work went into this with a lot of moving parts and I’m thankful for everyone who helped bring this to life. Oregon is known for its Pinot noir and over the course of my career I’ve been blessed enough to explore so many different varieties. My love and understanding of wine has evolved just like my taste buds. Fortunate enough to bring my passion project to life. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do 🍷.

It’s a perfect partnership between McCollum and Adelsheim Winery. The two share the same core values when it comes to wine: taste, approachability and experience with others.

The state of Oregon is known for the pinot noir. According to the website, when it came to McCollum Heritage 91’s inaugural wine, CJ wanted to choose vineyards that highlight the uniqueness that Oregon terrain has to offer.

Adelsheim Winery have also partnered with the Trail Blazers organization for the franchise's 50th anniversary and have released a line of wines with the proceeds going to COVID-19 relief. You can find out more here.

McCollum joins a long list of NBA players who also have invested in the wine industry: Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade, Gregg Popovich, and Yao Ming to name a few.

Congratulations CJ, save a bottle for us!
