Before a basketball game begins, it’s all a mind game.
Ahead of Wednesday night’s game between the Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Clippers, the Nuggets took advantage of trolling their opponent in the most ruthless way possible. While both teams warmed up, the Nuggets in-house DJ began playing some of Damian Lillard’s music. Yes, really.
Paul George and Patrick Beverley were in their feelings as Dame D.O.L.L.A’s G.O.A.T spirit played in the arena, and honestly, you love to see it.

The Nuggets petty move came just days after the Trail Blazers star exchanged jabs with the Clippers duo as the Blazers fell short to the Clippers 122-117.
Beverley began taunting Lillard, shouting Dame Time, after he missed two free throws which gave Portland a chance to tie or take the lead. After the final buzzer, George mimicked Lillard’s hand wave from last year’s walk-off three in the first round of the NBA playoffs.
The banter continued when George left a comment on a Bleacher Report post on Instagram directed to Lillard.
And you getting sent home this year. Respect – Paul George
To which Lillard clapped back with:
Keep switching teams… running from the grind. You boys is chumps. – Damian Lillard
After the running beef flared up again, this time between family members, George and Lillard have reportedly set their differences aside.
Some disrespect from Beverley and George likely helped. Skip Bayless' recent comments probably added fuel to the fire too.
The Nuggets big flex ultimately didn’t help them beat the Clippers. But perhaps, finally, the Clips can put some respect on Lillard’s name.
