Road Trip Looming
Sunday's contest against the Celtics, is the final game of the Blazers’ six-game home stand. Portland has won three straight and six of its last seven overall. The Blazers are coming off a 116-105 win over the Clippers on Thursday night behind Damian Lillard’s 25 points.
Celtics roll into town with a sense of urgency
Boston will conclude its five-game road trip when the Celtics visit Portland. The Celtics have lost three of four games on the trip after starting off with a loss to the Pacers followed up with another loss to the Nuggets, before coming back and beating the Suns and then falling short to the Jazz on Friday night 123-115. Kyrie Irving missed Friday night's game for personal reasons. In his absence vs. Utah, Terry Rozier finished with 22 points and six rebounds. Irving is expected to play against the Blazers.
Getting back at Horford
In Boston last season, it was Al Horford who hit the game winning shot to give the Celtics a 97-96 win over the Trail Blazers on February 4th. In two games vs. Portland last season, Horford averaged 16.5 points 6.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and two blocks.
For the Trail Blazers, Maurice Harkless (left knee) is OUT for Sunday’s game vs. the Celtics.
The Celtics have listed Jabari Bird (personal) as OUT and Daniel Theis (right foot) as DOUBTFUL for Sunday’s game.

Boston took the season series last year, 2-0.
In the last meeting in Portland on March 23rd, the Celtics outscored the Blazers by 15 points in the fourth to comeback and beat Portland 105-100. It was Marcus Morris who led the way for Boston with 30 points.
In the loss, Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum scored 26 points each.
The Cs are riding a three-game winning streak over the Blazers.
