Twitter has questions, Damian Lillard has answers
Lillard goes full AMA
Damian Lillard is a great Twitter follow and last night he took to the social network to answer questions from the fans.
Who is his favorite boxer? What is his favorite movie? Tupac or Eminem? Lillard gave us his picks.
Let's take a look at some of our favorite questions, and the best answers...
Bring back the Sonics
There is a rival city to the north that agrees with Lillard on this one. Things just haven't been the same since 2008. The NBA and its fans in the Pacific Northwest need the I-5 Rivarly back.
Rip City runs on Diesel
The Big Aristotle. Diesel. Wilt Chamberneezy. Shaq. Call him what you will, but Shaquille O’Neal was one of the best big men of all-time. Blazers fans know him well, (thanks 2000 Western Conference Finals) but his playing days are far behind him. Since they can't team up on the court, maybe Dame D.O.L.L.A. and Shaq Daddy can collaborate on a rap album.
"M-V-P, M-V-P, M-V-P"
Lillard certainly doesn't lack confidence, which is something he says you need as a professional athlete. Lillard did average 26.9 ppg, 6.6 apg, and 4.5 rpg this past season, and those numbers are good for MVP consideration. As he continues to get better and enter his prime years, an MVP season really could be in the cards.
Shades of '77
The Blazers haven't won an NBA title since 1977, and they haven't been to the finals since 1992. Lillard hopes to change that...on they ass
Lillard's box of chocolates
Lillard and the Blazers go together like peas and carrots. But seriously, Dame knows a good movie when he sees one, even if he was just four-years-old when Forrest Gump was released. That's all I have to say about that.
Speaking of good movies, Lillard has the perfect one lined up for Dame Jr. Since it's an original copy that means Lillard even gets to teach his son about the days of VHS!
A movie he can't refuse
We are sensing a theme here - Lillard likes the old school classics. What are the chances he also likes Casablanca and Gone with the Wind?
Yeah, he's good
If you follow Lillard on Twitter you are well aware that is a huge boxing fan. He is always tweeting about and breaking down the latest fight. His favorite boxer of all time? Andre Ward. Is it the Bay Area connection (Ward was born in San Francisco and lives in Oakland) or is it the fact Ward has a career record of 32-0? Probably both.
You can't go wrong either way, can you? But judging by his tastes in movies, it's no surprise Lillard would go with one of the OGs of the rap game.
