Will the Blazer bench come out hot against the new-look Spurs?
New-look Spurs: It was a big offseason for the Spurs who traded Kawhi Leonard & Danny Green to the Raptors for DeMar DeRozan, Jakob Poeltl and a protected '19 1st round pick.
Injury to a rising star: Spurs point guard Dejounte Murray tore his right ACL in the second quarter of their preseason loss to the Rockets. Last year Murray averaged 8.1 points and 5.7 rebounds.
Welcome back Aldridge once again: Fans will once again welcome in LaMarcus Aldridge after he signed with Spurs in July of 2015. Aldridge had a double-double in the Spurs first regular season game with 21 points and 19 rebounds in their 112-108 win over Minnesota.
Will the Blazers bench show up again? The Trail Blazer bench scored 55 points and had 16 of the team’s 21 assists, nine of its 10 blocked shots seven of its 13 three-pointers in the Blazers 128-119 win over the Lakers on opening night Thursday. Nik Stauskas finished with 24 points, including 5 of 8 three-point shots.
Maurice Harkless (left knee) is probable for Saturday’s game.
