For the majority of this NFL season, the Seattle Seahawks have been really good at keeping every game down to the wire.
Real gamblers who might bet on the Seahawks, this can become costly and stressful to watch every game because of how close the team comes to the money line.
And with what happened late in the game against that the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday, some people earned and lost a ton of money.
On Monday, the Eagles tight end Richard Rodgers added a touchdown off a deflection in the end zone late in the 4th quarter with twelve seconds to go.
Head coach Doug Pederson then went for two, which turned the score around from 23-9 to 23-17 as the final score.
That big, late-game touchdown was significant, again, if you have money on the line. And some big money on the table.
The Seahawks were a 6.5 point favorite in this game. So, you might think that you are good with your bet with 1:13 left on the clock.
But then the Eagles made that play and added the two points. For one better, it was a bad day as he was out $500,000.
Another better lost out on about $189,000.
Yikes. At least to me, that is a lot of money gone just like that in a matter of seconds.
But you can also look at it in a way that maybe some people won late on a backdoor cover. I am pretty sure that is the life of a true gambler.
This is something that I am not, thankfully.
If you are going to gamble on games, also remember to do it responsibly. Also, It might not be best to do it with the Seahawks.
You just never know what is going to happen with this Seattle team.
