Earl Thomas receives restraining order from wife after disturbing domestic incident

Former Seattle Seahawks Legion of Boom safety Earl Thomas is in the news cycle once again, and it's once again for all the wrong reasons.

According to TMZ Sports, Nina Thomas, Earl's wife, was granted a restraining order against him after an alleged drunken confrontation the day after Christmas.

The details spelled out in TMZ's report that led to the restraining order are extremely disturbing and will not be highlighted in this article.

Court documents, according to TMZ, say Nina is “scared of Earl and believe that there is a clear and present danger.”

The judge reportedly granted Nina's request and has ordered Earl to stay at least 400 feet away from Nina's Austin, Texas home and his children's schools.

Earl has reportedly denied the allegations, claiming the two have remained on good terms.

Nina filed for divorce from Earl this past November.

This past May, Nina was arrested after confronting Earl at gunpoint after allegedly finding him having an extramarital affair.

Earl Thomas has not appeared in an NFL game in over a year.

He was released before the 2020 NFL season by the Ravens due to an altercation with teammate Chuck Clark.
