The Battle of the Birds goes down this week! The 5-0 Seahawks are rolling into the desert on Sunday to face off against the Arizona Cardinals (4-2).
Seattle is well-rested after coming off a Week 6 bye, while the Arizona Cardinals have a shortened week following “Monday Night Football” at the Dallas Cowboys.
It’s been awhile since we saw some Seahawks action, but the last time we did, it was undeniably a thriller. With the game on the line, Russell Wilson marched his offense down the field for 94 yards before finding DK Metcalf in the endzone for the game-winning touchdown.
“I just saw DK run across the field, tried to zoom it into there to him,” Wilson said. “Tight window. He made an unbelievable catch, unbelievable play. Offensive line blocked extremely well in that position.
Seattle improved to 5-0 on the season for the first time in franchise history and the NFC’s only undefeated team. But their next five games will be against teams with winning records, and a true testament to just how tough this Seahawks squad truly is.
“We’re having a blast, we’re just getting started,” Pete Carroll said. “This season is a million miles long here. Back in the old days in Trojan Land, all you ever wanted to be was to be undefeated at the bye. That still holds true. It’s a great feeling. So, we’re taking a little break and come back and try to get stronger."
As for the Cardinals, they are coming off a dominant MNF performance over the Dak Prescott-less Cowboys. Kyler Murray inflicted some damage on Dallas' defense, completing 9 of 24 pass attempts for 188 yards and a pair of touchdowns, but the Cards defense stole the show.
Arizona's D came up with four turnovers en route to the 38-10 victory. The Cardinals now have a lot of momentum heading into Sunday against the Seahawks.
